Renewables Goals

On April 30th, 85% of Germany's energy was generated by renewables. Their goal is to make this a regular occurrence by 2030. From this eye-opening recent article in CleanTechnica:

Most of Germany’s coal-fired power stations were not even operating on Sunday, April 30th, with renewable sources accounting for 85 per cent of electricity across the country," he said. "Nuclear power sources, which are planned to be completely phased out by 2022, were also severely reduced.

In New York, Governor Andrew Cuomo has set a goal for us to be 50% renewable by 2030... let's do it!
